About MILAN TCML
ABOUT US
The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in Milan (MILAN TCML) was established in May 2025 with the mission of promoting Mandarin Chinese education based on Taiwan’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage, with a strong emphasis on Traditional Chinese characters.
In addition, the Milan Chinese School for Children, founded in April 2024, is dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for children from Taiwanese-Italian and overseas Chinese families to learn their heritage language. The program is also open to international students, offering a joyful and immersive learning experience through interactive activities, storytelling, and cultural exploration. Through this approach, children build a solid language foundation while developing cultural awareness and a global perspective from an early age.
We are committed to creating a dynamic and integrated learning environment that brings together language, culture, and communication. From children to adults, our structured and culturally enriched programs enable students not only to develop strong linguistic skills, but also to gain a deeper understanding of Taiwanese culture and its unique perspectives.
At TCML, we believe that language is more than a tool — it is a gateway to understanding the world, fostering meaningful connections, and expanding global horizons.

Our mission
Through language, we connect cultures and bring people closer together.
The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) is a global initiative dedicated to promoting Mandarin education rooted in Taiwan’s linguistic and cultural heritage. Supported by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) since June 2021, TCML supports overseas institutions in establishing Mandarin learning centers that reflect Taiwan’s unique educational approach and cultural richness.
The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in Milan (MILAN TCML), established in 2025, carries forward this mission by offering courses focused on Traditional Chinese, using teaching materials developed by the OCAC to ensure high-quality learning.
In addition, the Milan Chinese School for Children, founded in 2024, provides a warm and engaging environment for children from Taiwanese-Italian, overseas Chinese, and international families. Through interactive learning, storytelling, and cultural activities, children build a strong language foundation while developing cultural awareness and confidence.
At MILAN TCML, we integrate language, culture, and communication to create a dynamic learning experience for students of all ages. We believe language is more than a tool — it is a gateway to understanding cultures, perspectives, and the world.

Cultural immersion
We believe true language learning begins with cultural understanding.
From festivals to the arts, experience Mandarin within its rich cultural context.
Our cultural curriculum highlights folk customs, traditional practices, festivals, rituals, architecture, culinary culture, traditional attire, and fine arts. Through these immersive experiences, students gain not only language proficiency but also a deeper understanding of the cultural essence behind the language.
At MILAN TCML, Mandarin learning is enriched with authentic Taiwanese characteristics — allowing students to connect language with culture in a meaningful and inspiring way.

Our unique approach
Learning Mandarin at TCML is not just education — it is an experience.
At MILAN TCML, our teaching approach goes beyond traditional language instruction. We integrate language, culture, and real-life application to create a meaningful and immersive learning experience.
